Hallo !

Mein Monitor flackert ... Und zwar extrem. Zeitlich fiel es mit dem Patch auf 21.04 zusammen, ich kann es aber nicht genau daran festmachen. Die Hardware ist es nicht, denn wenn ich von LiveCD, im Recovery Modus oder gar Windows boote, dann tritt das Problem nicht auf. Daher vermute ich irgendein Problem mit den Einstellungen.

Meine Lösung im Moment ist "nomodeset" im grub einzutragen, was aber keine dauerhafte Lösung sein kann, da ich dann z.B. keinen externen Monitor anschließen kann.

Eine Datei /etc/X11/xorg.conf gibt es nicht.

Schlüssel zum Ganzen schein mir die Zeile : "(EE) open /dev/dri/card0: No such file or directory" zu sein.

Wenn der Treiber bereits zum passenden Kernel installiert ist, wechsle mit STRG+ALT+F1 in eine Konsole und führe aus:

Also so langsam wird mit klar, daß ich mehr als ein Problem habe. Also jetzt auf den Computer bezogen ...

Der "dmks status" machte anfangs Probleme. Da waren Bilbliotheken von anbox hängen geblieben. Jetzt macht er keine Ausgabe mehr. ABER, wenn ich mit nomodeset starte kommt dies :

Vom grub lasse ich mal die Finger. Habe mir zwei Einträge darin angelegt, einen mit und eine ohne "nomodeset". Ist mir sonst zu aufwendig, bei den vielen Reboots immer hin- und herzukonfigurieren (nebenbei, wie trage ich sowas permanent ein ???).

Die Ausgaben der Kommandos habe ich mal in die Dateien "nomodeset.txt" und "normal.txt" (also mit ohne nomodeset) geschrieben und angehängt. dpkg listet mit übrigens mittlerweile gar keine Pakete mit nvidia irgendwo im Namen. Mit nvidia startet die grafische Anzeige meist gar nicht.

Ich habe mittlerweile so viele Dinge aus dem Internet probiert, daß ich mittlerweile gar nichts mehr weiß ...

Ja nee ... Das hatte ich auch schon herausgefunden. Ich habe den Menüeintrag schon (manuell vi) verdoppelt und mir einen Eintrag mit und einen mit ohne nomodeset gemacht. Damit ich halt zum Testen immer hin und herwechseln kann. Mich würde interessieren, wie man dem grub beibiegt, automatisch einen komplett neuen Menüeintrag zu generieren. Aber das ist ein anderes Thema und würde hier zu weit führen. Wenn ich mal Langeweile habe recherchiere ich das mal.

2. den apt-get reinstall wie oben, aber ohne NVIDIA, weil meine letzten Versuche mit NVIDIA zu einem komplett schwarzen Bildschirm geführt haben (der hat dann aber nicht geflackert - ob das ein Fortschritt ist ... ?)
3. Reboot
4. Ärgern ...

Es flackert immer noch.

Ich administriere von Berufs wegen eher andere Dinge und will auch eigentlich gar derart hohe Weihen der Linux Administration erhalten. Der Rechner soll einfach nur tun ...

Mein Bauchgefühl sagt mir aber, da sind irgendwelche Bibliotheken "hängen" geblieben, die eigentlich nicht mehr da sein dürften. Wenn ich das richtig verstehe listet modprobe, was ein Kernel so alles kann ?

Kann es sein, daß er da immer noch irgendwas von NVIDIA lädt ? Obwohl dpkg keine NVIDIA Pakete mehr findet ? Rede ich Unsinn ?
