Bin Neuling in der Welt von Linux. Habe mir Ubuntu 14.04 auf meinm Laptop installieren (Acer Aspire 1810TZ). Leider bekomme ich beim starten immer folgende Meldung:
Gave up witing for root device. Common problems:
-Boot args (cat/proc/cmdline)
-Check root= (did the system wait long enough?)
- missing modules (cat/proc/modules; ls/dev)
ALERT: /dev/disk/by-uuid/**** does not exist. Dropping to a shell!

Habe die Partitionierung auch schon manuel erstellt und es funktioniert trotzdem nicht immer die selbe Fehlermeldung! Was kann ich tun?

Hallo Klaus,
es ist kein anderes Betriebssystem mehr vorhanden. Früher war Windows 7 drauf. Habe die gesamte Platte formatiert. Bios startet auch von der Platte.

Hallo Klaus,
habe gparted gestartet und "neue Partitationstabelle" ausgewählt. Wollte auch in gparted die Partitatitationen erstellen konnte sie aber nicht einhängen. Habe danach die Installtation gestartet und aus der Installation einmal manuell Partitioniert und einmal nur Ubuntu installieren ausgewählt. Leider konnte bei beiden nach der Installation das System nicht gestartet werden. Habe im Live Modus auch eine Meldung bekommen das dev/sda die Nummer 0 hat und damit falsch nummeriert ist ? Konnte leider nichts damit anfangen. Aus dem Live Modus kann isch auf die Laufwerke zugreifen. Bin langsam am verzweifeln, möchte aber nicht aufgeben.

Leider habe ich beim Neustart wieder die gleiche Fehlermeldung wie gehabt. Werde morgen die SuerGrubDisk2 ausprobieren.

Habe die Festplatte neu partitioniert mit der Live-Version von gparted. Ubuntu 14.04 neu installiert. Startversuch - Wieder negativ. Danach booten mit SuperGrubDisk2 - Ubutu-Betriebssystem starten, bliebt hängen-
die letzten 3 Zeilen:

ata1.00: device reported invalod CHS sector 0
ata1: EH complete
random: nonblocking pool is initilized

Habe eine Bootreparatur durchgeführt (leider hat es nicht mein Problem gelöst) und dabei folgendes Protokoll erhalten. Vieleicht kann jemand damit was Anfangen:
Was mir komisch vorkommt, dass bei dev/sd1 als Mountpoint /cdrom steht (siehe unten), kann das richtig sein?
