Wie startet man die Farbkalibrierung?

Hallo!

Wiedermal bin ich mir nicht sicher ob ich mein Problem an der richtigen Stelle vortrage. Im Zweifelsfalle möge man meinen Thread also entsprechend verlagern.

Mein Problem ist folgendes: ich habe mir das neue UBUNTU Studio 12.04 installiert und im Software-Center festgestellt, dass auf meinem System eine Farbkalibrierung installiert ist, mit der ich die Farbdarstellung der jeweiligen Hardwarekomponenten in ICC-Profilen festlegen können soll. Diese Software soll auch über ein GUI verfügen. Aber wie ruft man sie auf? Im Hauptmenü kann ich keinen entsprechenden Eintrag finden, auch nicht unter Einstellungen, und meine bisherigen Versuche sie mittels geratener Namen über das Terminal zu starten waren auch nicht von Erfolg gekrönt.

Vorzugsweise würde ich die entsprechenden Einstellungen wirklich gern mit dem GUI vornehmen. Irgendwo muss es ja sein. Aber vielleicht wird auch meine Grafikkarte (ATI Radeon HD 5450) nicht ausreichend unterstützt. Weiß jemand Rat?

du sagst im Software-Center zeigt es dir die Farbkalib. an?

Dann müsste auch dort stehen wie das Programm heißt.


Dann gibtste den Namen einfach mal bei deinen Programmen ein. Wenn nix passiert gibtste den Namen mal im Terminal ein und startest. Wenn er Programm startet, startet sie *lol*
wenn nicht ist keine Kalibrierung installiert.

Hallo phate999!

Danke zunächst für die Antwort! Also im Softwarecenter heißt das Ding zunächst nur "Farbe" und darunter wird spezifiziert "Farbkalibrierung". Klickt man auf "Weitere Informationen" kann man zudem lesen, dass es sich um den "gnome-color-manager 3.4.0-1" handelt und einen Screenshot des GUI bewundern. Gebe ich das in den App-Finder ein passiert nichts. Gebe ich's in's Terminal kommt "Command not found". Die Software ist aber im Softwarecenter als installiert gekennzeichnet, so auch in Synaptic zu finden und, wenn ich nicht irre, standardmäßig Bestandteil von UBUNTU Studio 12.04. Ich habe sie jedenfalls nicht nachinstalliert.

Hi ursa major,

wenn Du in Synaptic auf die Eigenschaften des Pakets "gnome-color-manager" gehst, kannst Du unter dem Tab "Installierte Dateien" schauen, welche Programme aufgerufen werden können. Interessant sind meist nur die unter /usr/bin. In Deinem Fall könnte vermutlich der gcm-viewer das gewünschte liefern :thumbsup:

Du findest es hier:
System>Einstellungen>Farbprofile

Dort kannst Du dann auf Hilfe drücken, das startet den gnome-help-browser mit der entsprechenden Hilfe.

Hallo wowi und floogy!

Euch beiden erstmal vielen Dank! Also zu wowi's Tipp, den ich, der Einfachheit halber, zunächst mal befolgt habe, und der gut ist. Ich konnte das im Screenshot gezeigte Fenster (gcm-viewer) aufrufen. Aber vermutlich kann ich damit vorerst gar nichts anfangen, da die ICC-Profile die ich brauche ohnehin schon installiert sind und ich zum Kalibrieren offenbar einen Kolorimeter benötige, also eine zusätzliche Hardware zum Kalibrieren meiner Hardware. Ansonsten kann ich da gar keine Einstellungen vornehmen, außer weitere Farbprofile installieren. Farbpicker-Software usw. kann ich ohne Kolorimeter gar nicht starten.

Insofern ist diese Software nicht ganz das was ich geglaubt hatte, aber eine tolle Sache, für den Fall das ich mal in einen Kolorimeter investiere. Dabei diese Zusammenhänge herauszufinden habt Ihr mir sehr geholfen. Vielen Dank dafür!
