Netzzugang nach update defekt

Guten Tag!

Seit dem 10.August schlage ich mich damit herum, dass ich aus dem installierten System heraus über LAN keinen Zugang mehr zu meiner FritzBox bekomme.
Zuvor wurde noch ein Update mit Neustart durchgeführt danach wurde zwar noch ein Sicherheitsupdate angezeigt, jedoch nicht mehr ausgeführt wg Ladefehler.
Firefox geht autom. in Offline-Modus (nicht von mir voreingestellt).
Thunderbird bekommt keine Verbindung.
Mit der Live-CD läuft Firefox korrekt, die FritzBox-Einstellungen kann ich ebenfalls anwählen.
Die Verbindungs- und Proxy-Einstellungen sind systemweit gleich.
Hängt es vlt am Update und was kann ich tun?

Hallo,

lösche mal die LAN-Verbindung im Netzwerkmanager und lasse sie durch reboot wieder neu aufsetzen. Ansonsten mal unter Kabelgebunden im Reiter IPv4-Einstellungen auf "DHCP (nur Adressen)" umstellen und die Nameserver deines Anbieters durch Komma aber ohne Leerzeichen getrennt eingeben. Danach durch

Im Netzwerkmanager sind bei mir keine Adressen hinterlegt, da die Verbindung "direkt" über den Router und die dort hinterlegten Einstellungen erfolgt(e).
Die angezeigte autom Verbindung wurde dementsprechend auch als "nie benutzt" angezeigt.
Habe trotzdem die von Dir vorgeschlagenen Schritte ausgeführt- ohne Erfolg.

Wenn du Xp hast schau dort nach, wenn das auch nicht geht versuch W-Lan oder einen neuen Lan-Kabel
Oder du es sind treiber verloren gegangen die du nur nachinstallieen must unter XP. Wenn du kein XP hast dann kann ich nicht weiterhelfen

Nein, XP habe ich seit rd 2 Jahren nicht mehr.
Wie schon geschrieben läuft die Netzwerkverbindung über die Live-CD am gleichen Kabel.
Am gleichen Kabel läuft der WIN7-Rechner meines Nachwuchses anstandslos, am gleichen Netzwerk über WLAN auf einem 10.4-Laptop ( auf update-Stand vom 8.August- vorsichtshalber ) ebenfalls.

Ich habe versucht gemäß Anregung von "wowi" aus dem Parallelthread "nach Update keine Netzwerkverbindung ..." meine updates über chroot zu vervollständigen.
Leider stand für den download der Pakete zu wenig Speicher ( ins RAM geladen? )zur Verfügung, so dass das upgrade abgebrochen wurde.
Der neuerliche Nachladeversuch bringt mir die Meldung, dass die Bezugsadressen nicht auffindbar sind.
Also bin ich bezüglich der Aktualität meiner Pakete vermutlich noch immer auf dem Stand des 10.August, und somit ohne Netzwerkanbindung.

Ich habe mal darüber geschlafen:

besorg dir doch mal ein Laptop mit Dahtlosen Internetzugang (W-Lan, GPRS, UMTS,...).
Der Laptop muss XP und einen Lan-Anschluss haben! Dann verbindest du die beiden PC mit dem Kabel. Auf dem Laptop gehst du auf Start/Systemsteuerung/Netzwerkinstalations-Assistenten
Den startest du dann. geh auf Weiter, und noch mal! Dann klicke das erste Beispiel an, und stelle dir so ein Netzwerk ein.
Wenn das auch nicht klappt, dann würde ich...

Welches UBUNTU hast du denn? (ICh habe 10.04, und gehe mit meinen UBUNTU/XP-PC so immer ins Internet)

PS: Du solltest den Laptop neu starten, denn sonst bricht das Internet immer ab, und achte auf das Lan-Kabel!!!

Halte mal beim Booten die SHIFT-Taste gedrückt, boote in den recovery mode, wähle dort netroot und tippe ein:

sudo apt-get -f install

das räumt dein System auf und vervollständigt es.

Da ich nicht herausbekommen habe, wie ich aus der initramfs-Bootvorstufe in den recovery-Modus komme und die Anwahl aller zur Verfügung stehender Bootoptionen immer wieder an die gleiche Stelle geführt hat (initramfs), habe ich normal gebootet und die vorgeschlagenen Aufräumarbeiten in der Konsole vorgenommen.
Nun habe ich "ein Problem mit dem Konfigurationsserver (/usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2) beendet mit Status256" und komme überhaupt nicht mehr in mein reguläres System: "die Standard-Konfiguration für die Gnome-Energieverwaltung wurde nicht korrekt installiert"
Vielleicht ist jetzt die Zeit gekommen, mir wieder einmal eine neue Installations-CD herunterzuladen....?

Das mache ich gerne heute abend zu Hause, habe aber die Befürchtung, dass ich mich immer noch überhaupt nicht einloggen und an die Konsole kommen kann.
Beim Versuch, über die Shift-Taste und direkte Auswahl der Bootoption in den recovery-Modus zu kommen, läuft immer automatisch ein ganzer Prozess ab, an dessen Ende der Rechner dann in diesem (initramfs) System landet, das die normalen Konsolbefehle nicht annimmt. Wie ich von dort in den eigentlichen Recovery-Modus komme, weiß ich nicht.
Kannst Du mir auch da weiterhelfen? Das was ich hierzu ergoogelt habe, schreckt mich eher ab.

Später: und genau so ist es!
Der Versuch, von der Live-CD aus über chroot auf die Installation einzuwirken liefert:

Halte dich für die chroot-Umgebung exakt an diese Anleitung:

diese Anleitung hatte ich noch nicht probiert. (andere schon) Durch das darin enthaltene Einbinden der DNS-Server-Angaben kam es (augenscheinlich) zu einer Internet-Verbindung und Aktualisierung der Pakete/Installation. Ich guckte den Download- und Installationsprotokollen zu und freute mich so richtig auf den reboot!! Leider hänge ich jetzt immer noch mit dem Bug 577545 und einem nicht bootbaren System. Die 10.04.1 habe ich schon seit letztem Freitag auf CD und hätte schon alles neu aufgesetzt, wenn es nicht immer wieder ein Hilfsangebot gäbe, das ich nicht unprobiert lassen möchte. Aber morgen Abend, falls ich nicht zu müde bin....
Werden 3User auf einer separaten home-Partition beim Einhängen eigentlich automatisch wieder als funktionierende 3 Zugänge eingebunden?

Falls die 3 User es nicht werden, kannst du den neuen Usern die entsprechenden vorhandenen /home-Ordner unter "Benutzer&Gruppen" von Hand zuordnen.

Nicht gelöst sondern erledigt, durch Neuinstallation -wäre von Anfang an die schnellste Lösung gewesen, ich hätte allerdings nicht so viel dazu gelernt (wie z.B. die Verwendung von chroot, die ich sicher beim nächsten release bzw. Kernelupdate wieder gebrauchen kann :rolleyes: )-.
In diesem Zusammenhang: Danke @praseodym für Deine Geduld und dass Du mir zu den Konsolenbefehlen auch noch deren Sinn in Reintext angemerkt hast: so würde auch die Schule meines Sohnes besser lehren, denn was ich verstanden habe kann ich mir besser merken.
