ich habe vor einiger Zeit versucht eine parallel Port Karte zum laufen zu bekommen:
Problem bei der Installation einer PCI Parallel Port Karte
leider ohne Erfolg.
Hab jetzt mal eine andere gekauft:
Firma: Delock
Produkt-Nr.: 89004
Ports: 2x seriell, 1x parallel
Bus: PCI
OS ist Xubuntu Lucid Lynx. Hab die Karte gekauft weil ich gelesen hab, dass sie unter Ubuntu läuft (
http://forum.ubuntuusers.de/topic/parall…e-delock-89004/ ). Laut Hersteller läuft sie unter Linux. Mittlerweile hab ich auch einen komplett neuen Rechner, ist also auch eine komplett neue Hardware Umgebung. Onboard parallel Port gibts nun keinen mehr.

Laut Bedienungsanleitung müsste ich nun das parport_pc Modul folgendermaßen laden:
/sbin/modprobe parport_pc io=0xe080 irq=16
in dmesg scheint sich dann aber nichts zu ändern:

Möchte ich das Modul entfernen und neu laden, heißt es das Modul sei noch in Benutzung. Nach entfernen der Module lp und parport serial liefert

zum Startup hinzufüge (/etc/modprobe.d/parport.conf), hängt sich das System auf : ( mal wieder...
Frage ich den parallel Port ab ob ein Scanner gefunden wird, der daran angeschlossen ist, wird natürlich keiner gefunden.
Seriell Port ist jetzt erst mal egal.
