Halli Hallo,

dank meines nun leider nicht mehr sehr kooperativen Ex-Freundes bin ich stolze Ubuntu-Userin geworden und an und für sich auch sehr zufrieden. Leider bin ich aber kein Stück computeraffin und stehe nun vor dem Problem, dass ich gerne einen video on demand service nutzen würde, aber das mit Linux wohl nicht so einfach geht, weil es dieses Silverlight-Dingens dafür nicht gibt? Ich habe etwas gegoogelt und bin auf Pipelight als Lösung gestoßen, habe nun aber keine Ahnung, wie ich das installieren soll...

danke für die schnelle Antwort- konnte das jetzt schon alles installieren (hab jemanden gefunden, der mir dabei hilft- ich hätte keine Ahnung gehabt, wie ich diese Eingabepad aufrufen und verwenden kann..)

Es scheint auch soweit geklappt zu haben, nachdem wir noch irgendwelche Mozilla-Einstellungen über dieses about:config geändert haben. Jetzt ist aber so, dass es dennoch nicht geht...
Das Beste, das ich bisher bekommen habe, war eine Silverlight Crash Meldung.

Okay, sorry wenn es zu ungenau war. Wie schon gesagt- ich hab echt noch gar keine Erfahrung mit allem, das über das Anklicken irgendwelcher Buttons hinausgeht.

Wir haben den general.useragent.override string geändert. In 3 verschiedenen Varianten:

Ich würde vermuten, dass dies auf eine Ausführung dieses Schrittes schließen lässt?

dass wir nicht nach deiner Anleitung vorgegangen sind, liegt schlicht daran, dass wir sie erst danach gelesen haben...
Ich verstehe schon, dass dich die Annahme ärgert, wir hätten sie schlicht ignoriert- sie ist jedoch falsch.

Ich werde das morgen mit meinem "Supporter" nochmal so versuchen, wie du es geschrieben hast. Vielen Dank für deine Zeit und Mühe.

Also, es hat leider alles nichts geholfen. Ich habe alles zurück gesetzt und deinstalliert, dann reinstalliert, das Problem bleibt.

Und den User Agent muss man ändern, sonst erkennt Amazon dass man Linux hat und lädt das Video erst gar nicht. Diese Info findet man auch in den meisten Installationsanleitungen...

Ich habe mittlerweile auch alle anderen Wine Programme deinstalliert um auszuschließen, dass es da zu Interferenzen kommt. Auch habe ich ein generelles Update gemacht.

Das Beste, das ich damit erreicht habe, war dass dann nach der abgeschlossenen Installation auf der Amazon-Seite beim laden des Videoplayers ein kleines Fenster aufging, in dem ein Wine-Prozess geladen wurde, danach ist der komplette Player wieder abgestürzt. Silverlight wird als Plugin in der Browserliste geführt.

Ist es möglich, dass das ursächlich für den Fehler ist?
