Hmm. Die ganzen nicht benutzen modlines brauchen da garnicht rein! Wie auch immer.
Ich würde mal den Monitor mit der DVI Verkabelung belassen und den Xserver mal neu konfigurieren!

Vorher machst Du am besten ein Backup der aktuellen xorg.conf!

Jawohl! haha ...
Also da guckst Du mal unter: System -> Systemverwaltung -> Systemüberwachung ... und da dann unter Prozesse
oder im Terminal mit dem Befehl "top"
Da kannst Du dann schauen, wer wieviel an RAM und CPU frisst!
